Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 20 March 1988. Lancaster talks about his early family life as the son of an African Methodist Episcopal minister and his own experiences as a minister. He describes his conversion to the Mormon Church, its impact on his employment, on his marriage, and on other Afro-Americans.
